Nerite snails are one of the safest invertebrate tank mates for bettas — their hard shell deters pecking, and they're too slow and unremarkable to trigger a betta's flaring instinct the way a bright, active fish might. Betta compatibility usually comes down to two questions: does the tank mate provoke aggression, and does it compete for the same resources? Nerite snails answer both favorably.
