Acclimate nerites the same way as any other invertebrate: drip acclimation over 30–60 minutes rather than a quick temperature-matched dump, since sudden parameter shifts stress snails more visibly than they stress fish. Add the snail to the tank before or well after feeding the betta, not during — a betta mid-feeding response can peck at anything moving near the surface, snail included, out of general excitement rather than aggression.
